Are you CAA certified?

Yes, our CAA UAV own number is 1169.

What are your flight times?

Red Epic / Alexa Mini – 12 mins

Inspire Pro RAW – 25 mins

Panasonic GH4 (4K) with the lens – 10 mins

Sony C4 (4K) -12 minutes

Gopro4 (2.7K) – 15 minutes

What’s the maximum weight you can lift?

Up to 7.5KG

How far can it fly?

Up to 500m horizontally with the line of sight.

How high can you fly?

We are only permitted to fly up to 400ft (122 metres) but we can apply for special permissions through the CAA to fly higher. (Be aware of planning process)

Can we see a live image from the aerial camera?

Yes, we have a live video downlink to pilot and camera operator base stations as well as a dedicated Small HD client monitor.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes, up to £5 million.

Can weather be a problem?

Unfortunately we cannot fly in rain and wind above 25mph can be challenging. We check the forecast from a range of sources on a regular basis and keep our clients updated prior to filming dates.

Are there any restrictions?

Limitations are as follows:

Over or within 150 meters of any congested area unless we have CAA special permissions (defined as any area of a city, town or settlement which is substantially used for residential, industrial, commercial or recreational purposes); this is reduced to 50m for UAVs in the 7kg and below category;

Over or within 150 meters of an organised open-air assembly of more than 1,000 persons, unless we have CAA special permissions

Within 50 meters of any person, vessel, vehicle or structure which is not under the control of the person in charge of the aircraft (during take-off or landing this may be reduced to 30 meters or less if attendant persons are under the control of the person in charge of the aircraft).
